Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy explains how MapleIsland handles information when you use this website. MapleIsland does not offer user accounts, and you do not need to provide your real name, email address, or payment information to use its tools.

Information you provide

When you search for a MapleStory character, MapleIsland receives the character name and region you submit. Character names and ranking details are public game information and may not identify the person who controls a character outside the game.

Browser storage

Standalone calculator inputs stay in memory only and reset when you refresh or leave the page. Selecting a saved character in HEXA, Astra, or Destiny stores that character's plan in your browser so it can be restored later on this device.

Your color theme, saved public character names, synthetic boss mule names, equipment plans, per-character HEXA, Astra, and Destiny plans, and boss income routines are stored in your browser's local storage. Synthetic boss mules are not sent to Nexon or the character-history database. This information stays on your device unless you clear it. Clearing local storage resets saved preferences, plans, and boss income forecasts.

Analytics

MapleIsland uses Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and improve its tools. These services may receive information such as your device and browser details, general location derived from your IP address, pages viewed, and interactions. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies according to Google's policies and your browser settings.

Character history

MapleIsland stores public character data from Nexon and periodic snapshots to provide character details and progression history.

How information is used

• Return character details and progression history.
• Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
• Measure how the site and its tools are used.

MapleIsland does not sell account profiles or contact information. No such profiles are collected by the service.

Third-party services

Service providers may process information to host the website and database, measure usage, or provide public game data. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and policies.

Retention and your choices

Browser preferences remain until they expire or you clear them. Analytics information is retained according to the applicable provider's settings and policies. Public character snapshots are retained to provide progression history and maintain the service; MapleIsland does not promise a fixed deletion schedule.

You can clear site data, block cookies, use browser privacy controls, and use Google's analytics privacy controls. Some features may not remember your selections after storage is blocked or cleared.

Security

MapleIsland uses reasonable technical measures to operate the service, but no website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children

MapleIsland is not directed to children under 13, and the service does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when MapleIsland's features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when an update is published.
