Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy explains how MapleIsland handles information when you use this website. MapleIsland does not offer user accounts, and you do not need to provide your real name, email address, or payment information to use its tools.

Information you provide

When you search for a MapleStory character, MapleIsland receives the character name and region you submit. Character names and ranking details are public game information and may not identify the person who controls a character outside the game.

If you contact support, we receive your email address, any sender name you include, your message, and any attachments you send. We use this correspondence to respond, investigate reported issues, and handle privacy requests. Send only information relevant to your request; please do not include passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information in messages or screenshots.

Browser storage

Standalone calculator settings reset when you refresh or leave the page. Selecting a saved character in HEXA, Astra, or Destiny stores that character's plan in your browser so it can be restored later on this device.

Your color theme, saved public character names, synthetic boss mule names, equipment plans, per-character HEXA, Astra, and Destiny plans, and boss income routines are stored in your browser's local storage. Synthetic boss mules are not sent to Nexon or the character-history database. This information stays on your device unless you clear it. Clearing local storage resets saved preferences, plans, and boss income forecasts.

Push notifications

Sunny Sunday alerts are off by default. Your browser asks for permission only after you choose Notify me on the Sunny Sunday page. If you allow it, MapleIsland stores the push subscription your browser creates: a push service address and encryption keys. It contains no name, email address, or account. The subscription is used only to send a reminder shortly before each Sunny Sunday starts. Your browser's push service (for example Google, Mozilla, Apple, or Microsoft) delivers these messages. Turn alerts off on the Sunny Sunday page or in your browser settings; subscriptions that are turned off or expire are deleted.

Analytics

MapleIsland uses Google Analytics, Vercel Web Analytics, Umami Analytics, and Speed Insights to understand how the site is used and improve its tools. These services may collect general usage, device, location, and performance information.

Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers. Where consent is required, analytics storage starts disabled and MapleIsland asks for your choice. Declining keeps analytics storage disabled, though Google may still receive limited cookieless signals. Advertising features remain disabled.

Umami may also collect session replays and heatmaps for a sample of visits to help improve the site.

How information is used

• Measure how the site and its tools are used.
• Send Sunny Sunday alerts you turned on.
• Respond to support messages and privacy requests.

MapleIsland does not offer user accounts or require contact details to use its tools. Contact information you voluntarily provide in support correspondence is not sold.

Third-party services

Service providers may process information to host the website and database, measure usage, or provide public game data. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and policies.

Email providers process and store support messages and attachments to deliver and manage correspondence. If you contact us through Discord, Discord also processes that communication under its own privacy policy.

Learn about Vercel's data practices in the Vercel Privacy Policy, Google's Privacy Policy, and Umami's open-source analytics software, described on the Umami website. These providers control their policies and may change them independently of MapleIsland.

Retention and your choices

Browser preferences remain until they expire or you clear them. An analytics choice is stored in your browser for up to 180 days. You can change it at any time through Analytics settings in the footer; withdrawing consent disables Google Analytics storage and removes accessible first-party Google Analytics cookies. Google and Vercel retain analytics information according to their settings and policies. MapleIsland controls retention for its self-hosted Umami data. Public character snapshots are retained to provide progression history and maintain the service.

Support messages and attachments are retained to address your request and related follow-up. You can request deletion of your correspondence using the email below.

You can clear site data, block cookies, use browser privacy controls, and use providers' privacy controls. Some features may not remember your selections after storage is blocked or cleared.

Children

MapleIsland is not directed to children under 13, and the service does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when MapleIsland's features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when an update is published.

We may ask for information needed to verify the request. You do not need a Discord account to contact us.
