How it works
Flames add green Bonus Stats to equipment. Because each reroll can choose different lines and tiers, two items with the same visible score can come from very different outcomes. This calculator supports two related tasks: estimate the chance and cost of reaching a target on standard equipment level 120 and above, or convert the Bonus Stats already shown on an item into a class-specific flame score.
Probability mode checks possible line and tier combinations for the selected armor or weapon, item level, flame source, Flame Advantage state, class profile, and score target. It reports the chance per flame, average and median attempts, 75th, 85th, and 95th-percentile budgets, and a cumulative success chart. Score mode accepts the green stats visible on your item and applies editable equivalences so you can compare the result in main-stat terms.
Consider level 160 standard armor with a tier 5 STR and DEX combination line, 5 Attack, and 6% All Stats. The combination line contributes 25 STR and 25 DEX. If your profile values 1 Attack as 3 main stat, 1% All Stats as 10, and 1 secondary stat as 1/12 main stat, the score is 25 + 25/12 + (5 x 3) + (6 x 10), or about 102.08. Change the equivalences to match your character instead of treating that example as a universal score.
A useful target reflects both the equipment and the amount you are prepared to spend. Meso resets cost 3,000,000 mesos each and do not receive the guild discount; for older flame items, enter the price you actually pay. Compare the median with higher confidence thresholds. The median is the point where half of modeled reset sequences have succeeded; it is not a guaranteed stopping point. For weapons, choose a minimum Attack or Magic Attack tier separately, because the score target applies to the remaining lines. Score guidelines in the interface are planning aids rather than official MapleStory grades.
The probability engine covers standard supported equipment and the listed acquisition sources. Meso resets use Black Rebirth Flame rates. Burning and Karma Burning Rebirth Flames instead use Powerful Rebirth Flame rates, as corrected in the September 10 GMS patch notes. Both reset methods let you keep the old or new result, but that choice does not make their tier probabilities equal. MVP Gold and higher can perform three meso resets at once, changing interaction speed rather than cost or odds per reset. Special fixed-tier items, Rune of Njord shared tiers, and Zero weapon flame copying remain outside this calculator.
