How it works

What this calculator covers

Trace Restoration lets eligible destroyed equipment be rebuilt with points earned from solo boss challenges. This calculator converts the challenges you can repeat into an average weekly Trace income, then divides each supported item's fixed restoration cost by that income. It is a route-comparison tool: it shows how different solo boss selections affect the estimated number of weeks, without pretending to know the exact calendar day you will finish.

Turn solo clears into a restoration rate

Select each boss difficulty you can clear solo, or start with the Early Game, Mid Game, or Late Game preset. Optional challenge modifiers can add their listed points independently. The summary totals weekly Traces, selected bosses, and active challenges, then estimates the time required for 17 supported weapon, armor, and accessory targets. Party clears do not count. Your selections remain in the current page session and are not saved as a dated progression plan.

Compare a single item with a full set

With Black Mage set to Monthly, the End Game preset averages 143.75 Traces per week. At that rate, Total Control's 1,680-Trace restoration projects to 11.7 weeks, while the Brilliance Set's 2,500-Trace restoration projects to 17.4 weeks. These high-value targets are a more practical use of saved Traces than easily replaced early-game equipment. Use the two rows to compare how a stronger challenge route shortens the saving period; the decimals remain rate estimates because rewards arrive when challenges are cleared.

Monthly Black Mage as a weekly average

Choose Monthly when one Black Mage clear should be averaged across four weeks. In that mode, the selected Black Mage points contribute one quarter of their value to the weekly total. Choose Weekly only when you intend the selected contribution to count every week. This switch changes every restoration estimate because the table divides each target cost by the resulting weekly total. It does not create a calendar or track which week of a monthly cycle you are currently in.

What the route deliberately leaves out

Only the solo boss difficulties and modifiers listed in the workspace contribute points. Party clears are excluded under the linked rules. The calculator does not infer whether a character can clear a selected challenge, enforce inventory limits, schedule weekly reset dates, or persist progress between visits. It also does not estimate equipment absent from the 17-row restoration table. Revisit the source after rule changes before using an older route for a long-term plan.
