How it works
Regular Potential gives equipment up to three randomly selected lines. Build the outcomes you would keep, then compare their odds and expected cost.
Choose the equipment category, item level, Potential rank, cube type, and one or more acceptable option sets. The calculator enumerates valid three-line outcomes at that rank. Optionally enable rank-up and choose a lower starting rank to include each required transition. It reports the chance per target-rank roll, average and median total cubes, confidence thresholds, estimated cost, a cumulative success chart, and the combinations counted as successes. Up to eight option sets can describe different rolls you would keep.
For a level 200 Legendary hat with a Bright Cube, create one option set containing 13% STR, 10% STR, and 10% STR. The modeled chance is about 0.1426% per cube, or roughly 1 success in 701 rolls. The distribution reaches 50% cumulative confidence at about 486 cubes and 95% at about 2,100 cubes. This does not mean the item will take exactly 702 cubes; each roll remains random, and the percentiles show how widely a real reroll can vary.
An option set is one complete outcome you would accept. Rows can appear in any order, and a blank row allows any line in that position. Repeating a category creates a summed minimum, so three STR rows of 13%, 10%, and 10% ask for at least 33% STR across the roll. STR, DEX, INT, and LUK totals also count the matching share of All Stats. Add another option set when a different combination, such as two stat lines plus cooldown reduction, would also satisfy your goal.
No complete official GMS table exists for regular Potential outcomes and rank-up rates in this version of MapleStory. The calculator uses Nexon Korea's published KMS cube rates mapped as Black to Bright, Red to Glowing, Master Craftsman's or Silver to Hard, Meister's or Gold to Solid, and Occult to Mystical. It applies documented line values by item level and identifies public-table fallbacks where official line coverage is missing. The optional rank-up model uses independent rolls without a guarantee system and excludes Double Miracle Time and other events, Bonus Potential, reveal costs, two-line items, and Violet, Hexa, Equality, and Selection Cubes.
